Robotic Equipment for Cake Decorating & Finishing
Baker-Bot Quad
A modular, fully integrated robotic cake finishing system with 4 direct-mount 3D vision-guided cobot arms.
Built for multi-layered round cakes and sheet cakes that require base icing plus value-added finishing such as, bordering, rosettes, drizzle, and writing — in a single line.
Deco-Bot
Single or multi-nozzle robotic decorating station for cakes cookies, and cupcakes that is equipped with an integrated conveyor that can directly sync with your existing production conveyor.
Available with a heated pump for temperature-sensitive products that require consistent flow.
Baker-Bot DecoStation
A single-arm, mobile decorating station with a touch-screen interface and heavy-duty casters. Decorates up
to two cakes at a time — ideal as a standalone unit or for facilities easing into automation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can robots decorate both round and sheet cakes?
Yes. Apex Motion Control's systems handle base icing, bordering, drizzling, and decorating for round cakes, sheet cakes, mini cakes, bundt cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and pies.
What's the difference between the Baker-Bot Quad and the Deco-Bot?
The Baker-Bot Quad uses four 3D vision-guided cobot arms for full multi-process finishing lines. The Deco-Bot is a generally a single robotic system with one nozzle or a multi-nozzle head, with an integrated conveyor that can be easily synced to your existing conveyor for high-speed decorating and drizzling.
The DecoStation is a mobile, single-arm unit for standalone or lower-volume decorating.
Do these systems work with cakes of inconsistent size or shape?
Yes — our systems use 3D vision to detect the actual size, shape, and position of each cake and adjust the finishing pattern automatically, so results stay consistent even with natural variation in the product.
Can this equipment integrate with our existing bakery production line?
Yes. Our systems are designed to integrate with other OEM equipment and existing conveyor and production lines rather than requiring a full line replacement.
How long does it take to implement robotic cake finishing equipment?
This depends on the complexity of your project. If your requirements are for more standard solutions, it can be in as little as 6-8 weeks installed. For more complex systems, lead time, testing, FAT and final installation generally starts at 14 weeks
